3 Classification Systems

These are structured frameworks used to categorize and organize building elements, components, and materials within architectural projects. They are:

  • MasterFormat 2016-edition -
  • Uniformat 2010 CSI
  • ArchiCAD classification v2.0
Estimating and Costing Template (Coming soon!!)
  • It is a predefined structure or framework used to estimate and manage project costs associated with architectural designs.
  • Outlines how project costs should be distributed among different elements, materials, and components of the architectural design.
  • It helps in quantifying various building elements such as walls, doors, windows, finishes, etc.
  • Users can customize costing templates to suit specific project requirements, adjusting cost categories, rates, or adding new elements as needed for accurate budgeting and cost estimation.
  • Helps to efficiently manage project budgets, track costs, and generate accurate estimates throughout different project stages.
Graphic Tools

These are a set of functionalities and features used to create, manipulate, and manage the visual aspects of architectural designs within the template and they include:

  • Drawing & editing tools - create architectural elements such as walls, slabs, columns, roofs, doors, windows, and more. eg wall tool.
  • View Settings and Controls - includes settings for views, perspectives, rendering options, and display settings. It allows users to control the visibility of elements, adjust lighting apply textures and set rendering properties. eg 3D View Settings.
  • Annotation and Documentation Tools - assist in adding annotations, dimensions, text, labels, and other documentation elements. eg Dimension Tool.
  • Building materials and Surfaces - allows users to generate realistic renderings and visual representations of architectural designs. This includes options for photorealistic rendering, shadow studies, and presentation-quality output. eg Render Settings.
  • Modeling Tools - enable
Project Browser Organization
  • It enables users to navigate, organize, and access various components of the architectural project efficiently.
  • Projects elements are organized hierarchically.
  • It provides a user-friendly interface for project navigation, and facilitates quick access to specific elements or groups of elements within the architectural model.
  • Allows users to group and sort elements logically and according to their preference.
  • Allows users to show or hide specific components or entire categories as needed during the design process.
  • It includes, annotation-tag-labels, annotations-dimensions, annotation markers, drawing register and the title block.
Residential Project Sample
  • This is a project (sample) made from the template. It enables users to view how the template works and its outcome.
  • It includes detailing, views, profiles, layers, layouts, classifications, properties, pen sets, graphics, materials, dimensions, and annotations specific to BIM and architectural standards.

Project Starter 2.0
  • These are a set of predefined settings, configurations, resources, and elements incorporated into the template file to jumpstart a new architectural project. They also include favorite text styles, dimension settings, labels, or annotation configurations..
  • It's designed to provide a foundational framework, saving time and effort at the beginning of a new project by offering a starting point with standardized settings.
  • Favorites are frequently used elements like doors and windows, annotation styles and settings ( favorite text styles, dimension settings, labels, or annotation configurations.), as well as complex assemblies or combinations of elements that are used frequently, like a specific wall assembly with insulation, finishes, and structural components preconfigured.
  • Users can save customized configurations of elements with specific parameters, materials, dimensions, or settings. For instance, a favorite door might have predefined settings for width, height, style, hardware, etc., ready for quick placement.
Enhanced Project Info
  • Manages information that is related to your project for documentation,
    collaboration, and communicating.
  • It includes new and upgraded information like, client details, site address/location as well as regular information like project name, contact information,
  • Information will be shown in title blocks and the drawing register.
Reports For Quantities

These are tools that generate comprehensive and accurate lists or schedules of various building elements, materials, components, and their respective quantities within the architectural project. The are:

  • Material Schedules - generate lists of materials used in a project, including information about their type, quantity, specifications, and possibly associated costs. This helps in estimating material requirements for ordering and budgeting purposes.
  • Quantity Takeoff Reports - provide detailed lists of quantities for different elements in the model, such as walls, doors, windows, slabs, beams, etc. They include information like dimensions, areas, volumes, counts, and other relevant data.
  • Customized Element Lists - Users can create customized reports focusing on specific elements or categories. For example, a report listing only steel elements or a report specifically detailing sanitary fixtures.
  • Integration with External Software - These can be exported or integrated with external software or spreadsheets for further analysis, collaboration, or incorporation into project documentation.
Views Templates

These are predefined configurations or settings that store specific display, visibility, and presentation settings for different views within the template. They include:

  • Display Settings - these are settings related to the visibility and display of elements within a particular view. They includes controlling the visibility of walls, doors, windows, furniture, landscaping and enables users to create custom views.
  • LAYER COMINATIONS - They encompass predefined layer settings for different views. Users can set up specific layer combinations suitable for construction drawings, presentations, or design development, ensuring the correct display of layers as per the intended purpose.
  • Model View Options (MVO) - These control the visual representation of elements in different views. This includes settings for model display, level of detail, graphic overrides, etc. Users can also tailor the appearance of the model for different purposes.
  • DRAWINGS SETTINGS - This includes settings for dimensions, annotations, text styles, and other documentation-related elements. They ensure consistent presentation of information across various views and drawing sheets.
  • VISIBILITY CONTROL - allows users to manage visibility of elements, defining what is shown/hidden in each view. This aids in focusing on specific details or presenting a simplified view for clarity.
  • Customization and Creation - Users can create, customize, and save view templates based on their project requirements. These settings can be reused across different projects or within the same project to maintain visual consistency.
